You can delete your Orbit account and all associated data at any time. The fastest way is inside the app - it happens straight away. If you can't open the app, you can ask us to delete it for you.
Delete in the app (fastest)
On a phone with Orbit installed, this takes under a minute and removes your data right away:
- Open Orbit.
- Go to the Profile tab (bottom-right).
- Tap Account & privacy.
- Tap Delete account, then confirm.
Open Orbit to delete Request deletion by email
On a device with Orbit installed and up to date, the button (and any link to this page) opens the app straight to the delete screen. Otherwise, follow the steps above.
Request deletion by email
No longer have the app installed? Enter the email address on your Orbit account and we'll delete the account and its data for you. We action requests within 30 days (usually much sooner) and email you to confirm.
Prefer to write to us directly? Email [email protected] from the address on your account.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes the personal data we hold for you, including:
- Your profile - name, handle, avatar, and account identifiers.
- Your email address and sign-in association.
- Circles you own, and your membership in circles you joined.
- Your messages, shared photos, plans, RSVPs, votes, tasks, and expense entries.
- Your device push tokens and in-app activity history.
- Your AI-credit balance and purchase records we store (Google Play holds the payment record).
Content you shared into a circle (for example a message or photo) may remain visible to the circle's other members after you leave, unless you delete that content first or you were the circle's owner.
What we keep, and for how long
After deletion we remove or anonymize your personal data. A small amount of information may be retained briefly where required for security, fraud prevention, or legal/accounting reasons, then deleted. We never sell your data, and it is always encrypted in transit. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail.
